Dr. Kalyani Karandikar

Dr. Kalyani Karandikar is Co-Medical Director at Congress Orthopedic Associates. She is a board certified anesthesiologist with fellowship training in Acute Pain and Regional Anesthesiology. Dr Karandikar's Specialty Interests include Acute Pain Management and Regional Anesthesiology, Acute Post-operative Pain management, Anesthesia for orthopedic procedures, Central Neuraxial and Peripheral Nerve Blocks, Ultrasound guided nerve blocks, Pain Management, Same Day Surgery, Outpatient Surgery, Ambulatory Anesthesia. Dr. Karandikar has had extensive training in ultrasound imaging and use of US-guided techniques for safely and effectively performing peripheral nerve blocks. Although she is well versed in practicing general anesthesia as well as neuro- and OB-anesthesia, her passion and interest remains in managing acute pain and performing selective peripheral nerve blockade to ensure the transition from surgery to recovery is as comfortable as possible for the patient. She has been in practice for over 7 years working both in the academic arena as Assistant Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology at LAC-USC County Hospital/Keck Medical Center and in private practice as staff anesthesiologist at Methodist hospital in Arcadia.
In her spare time she loves traveling with her husband and spending time with their two young daughters.
